Deferment of Tuition/Hall Fees

Students may not be able to settle their tuition fee/hall fees on time due to financial difficulties. Students who have financial difficulties in paying the tuition fee by the payment due date are eligible for application. Deferment of tuition fee will be considered on the ground of financial hardships with supporting proof. Applications should be made at least 7 working days before payment due date and applications submitted after the payment due date would not be accepted.

[Note: Starting from Fall 2021-22, full-time RPG students (exclude students receiving HKSAR RPG Tuition Waiver and students in continuing student status) need not apply for payment deferral since the tuition amount would be split into 3 portions of different due dates. If students choose to settle their tuition fee in 3 installments by Postgraduate Studentship (PGS), no further action is required (i.e. no payment deferral application is required). The corresponding due amount of tuition will be automatically cleared by PGS.]

For TPG students, please download the application form here. Endorsement from Program Office is required. The endorsed application should be submitted to Scholarships & Financial Aid Office via email to sfao.fa@ust.hk together with supporting documents.
