Group Personal Accident Insurance for All Students

The University has a group personal accident insurance policy for all students against any accident loss sustained while participating in activities organized or arranged by the University and/or student organizations on-campus or off-campus, local or abroad, subject to certain conditions.

Accident medical coverage includes fees for services from Chinese Bonesetter and/or Acupuncturists in Hong Kong which is limited to HK$300 per visit per day with an aggregate limit per event up to HK$1,500 and HK$3,000 per policy year. Please click here for details of insurance coverage.

 

The insurance is meant to be a form of financial support to students in the unfortunate event of accidents while participating in academic or extra-curricular activities.

 

Local students who wish to have additional coverage may consider the Optional Hospitalization and Surgical Benefits Plan for Local Students. Details are available at here.

 

Non-local students, under the Compulsory Medical Insurance Scheme for full-time Degree-seeking Undergraduate and Postgraduate Students, are entitled to Extended Accidental Medical Benefits which supplements this insurance scheme (for details, please click here).

Claim Procedure

The completed claim form should first be submitted to Scholarships & Financial Aid Office (Rm 5022B, 5/F, lift 3, Academic Building) for endorsement. The endorsed claim should then be sent to Chubb Insurance Hong Kong Limited by post within 30 days from the date of accident.
